"One of LA's Best Kept Secrets" from George Harris with Jazz Weekly

One of LAÆs best kept secrets, Filipino Charmaine Clamor has released another unique blend of American jazz and home grown sounds. The latter includes a wildly entertaining of Horace SilverÆs ôDoodlinÆö performed in ôTaglishö while ôMaalaala Mo Kayaö makes you feel the warm breeze of a Pacific Island evening. Her delicate and seductive voice can be celebrative, as on ôFeelinÆ Stevieö or sassy and sharp, like with the fun and funky ôBreakfast With Bubba,ö which celebrates the local dj Bubba Jackson. The local supporting tam of Eli Brueggemann/p, Dominic Thiroux/b, Abe Lagrimas/dr, Richard Ickard/g and Bo Razon/perc is first rate, and are as flexible as a short order cook. More music by a lady that calls her own shots, and is a dead aim.
